She’s the former CTO of HuffPost and current founder and CEO of RebelMouse, a creative agency and CMS platform used by many of the biggest names in media today. She’s also proudly and openly transgender. While the trans community in the tech industry can feel small, leaders like Andrea are making that space more expansive and inclusive, while building incredible products and running successful companies.

While reading about the onslaught of right wing hate against transgender people obviously does’t make me happy, it does make me happy to know that we have a voice and we have power. And it makes me even happier to know that my company and my efforts can help elevate these voices. AB: “Paper has long been one of my favorites to feel connected to the upcoming artists that are normally under represented. They are also a RebelMouse client and their team is lovely—mostly non binary and trans and POC who are writers. Their New Music Friday round ups are one of my go to’s.”

AB: “I’m in the top 5% of Spotify listeners. Music is my happiness. It’s my batteries. My charge. I follow so many artists and my Release Radar on Fridays is one of the happiest places I can go. If you want to drop in on what I’m listening to, this one and my Brooklyn Streets playlist are a couple that I SWEAR are SO GOOD lol.”

OpenAI API

AB: “In all honesty, I find AI to be simultaneously TERRIFYING and SO EXCITING. I absolutely believe nothing is going to be the same. The change is as profound as the iPhone was or the release of Google. The OpenAI sandbox lets me go into full-on product nerd for my company where we are building AI deep into the CMS. We are releasing products that let websites offer a chat with just the website’s content, and to solve search and finding related content. It shouldn’t make me happy, but playing around with the OpenAI sandbox to build new API calls and product features makes me very happy.”

FOLX Health

AB: “I don’t feel comfortable with the medical system in the US, so I was buying my hormones in Mexico based on research I had done and that was kind of working. But now I am a subscriber to Folx Health and I get high quality hormone therapy in a monthly subscription. I get access to doctors and lab tests to see where I am on my levels. I feel I am part of a community that is getting real support and it makes me very happy that this is an option.”
